About China Academic Consortium (CAC)

China Academic Consortium (CAC) was established in 1996 as an outgrowth of Educational Resources and Referrals - China (ERRChina) when a group of committed academics in North America sought to engage with educational institutions and individual scholars from mainland China.

CAC has developed a variety of enrichment programs, conferences, forums, website resources as well as credit courses like the annual intensive Chinese Worldviews Seminar. In addition, we also sponsor scholars conducting cutting-edge research on Chinese Christianity.

In 2017 Chinese Evangelical Theological Society (CETS) was formed by a group of North American Chinese Christian academics in partnership with CAC to sponsor annual symposiums and quarterly forums.

CAC is an affiliate of Graduate Theological Union (GTU) Berkeley.

CAC Membership

For 25 years, ERRChina’s CAC has nurtured Chinese and Western scholars by cultivating fertile ground for international exchange and scholarly research to serve the general public’s understanding of China and Chinese Christianity.

We welcome universities, seminaries, and individual scholars to join CAC year-round. Enjoy unique opportunities for short-term and long-term scholarly collaboration, trips, and special events.
