Join ERRC on a journey to see God’s hand at work in China – this exploration walks through China’s modern cities, fellowships with ERRC Christian teachers on leading university campuses, worships alongside Chinese Christians in open churches, visits historic missions landmarks. ERRC Founding President, Martha Chan, with 25 years experience in China, will enrich your understanding of modern Chinese society, the church and the role of Westerners in China today. |

Day 1 West Coast - Kunming
Board your transpacific flight to Kunming via Hong Kong.
Day 2-4 Kunming
Kunming, a city is often called the "Spring City" or "City of Eternal Spring" because of its year-round temperate climate. It is the capital of Yunnan province.
Experience life in beautiful Kunming with ERRC teachers’ families. The families live on the school campus outside the city. Visit the Minority Park.
Day 5-6 Wuhan
Situated on the Plain, Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, is the biggest hub city in Central China. Divided by the Yangtze river, Wuhan has come to be known as the Three Towns of Wuhan. Visit Wuhan University and an ERRC field partner with a passion for orphans. View the famous Yangtze river bridge and visit the Huazhoung Normal University, where the history of Christian university research center is located.
Day 7-9 Beijing
Upon arrival in Beijing, China's capital, you will be greeted by ERRC field partners teaching at China’s most prestigious educational institutions,
There will also be opportunity to meet with Chinese Christian scholars.
Also available: sight-seeing trips for the Great Wall,
summer palace, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, shopping, etc.
Day 10-11 Tianjin
The name Tianjin means “the place where the Emperor crossed the river.” Historically, it has been the site of many crossings. You will visit the place of China’s previous foreign concession, as well as the old culture street. Find out about the 4 ERRC field partners’ life, including three young children.
Day 12-13 Taian
Tai’an is located at the foot of Mount Tai, first of the five sacred mountains in China. A place that Chinese emperors came to visit and worship God. A thriving community of ERRC teachers would welcome your interactions with their students.
For those who like to hike, there will be time to do so.
Day 14 Jinan
Just a short distance from Taian, Jinan is known as “City of Springs.” Living at the campus guesthouse gives opportunity to observe a foreign faculty member’s life. Jinan bears much missionary history, and we will visit an old Christian University campus and a Catholic cathedral. If possible, we will visit the Religious Studies Department.
Day 15 Shanghai
One of China’s most massive and vibrant cities. Residing at a guest house and visit the Chinese pavilion at the World Expo site. Your final moments in Shanghai may offer an opportunity to pursue more Chinese modern history or pick up last minute souvenirs in this shopping rich city before boarding your transpacific flight.
